We’re a small but mighty private practice based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, founded by an OT who’s built a business around what really matters: people. Our clients range from adolescents to adults, and our work is as diverse as the communities we serve.

At Ripple, you’ll join a small but mighty team of dedicated professionals who are as passionate about making a difference as you are. Our current team includes:

Kjirsten Magnuson

Director & Occupational Therapist

Ripple Allied Health is led by Kjirsten Magnuson, a passionate occupational therapist with experience across Australia and the United States. Kjirsten holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Washington, bringing a wealth of clinical expertise and a deep commitment to supporting others to love OT.​ Kjirsten has a special interest in supporting clients with complex needs, and has made it her career focus to build specialist skills in this area. She enjoys the long-term nature of this work that allows her to build relationships with clients, work alongside other stakeholders and creatively address functional goals.

Outside of work, you can find Kjirsten in the garden, op-shopping, or at the pool. She loves learning new things, and is known for deep diving into niche hobbies and interests. She values community connection, fairness, and believes strongly in self-empowerment.

Lily Jass

Occupational Therapist

Lily is an occupational therapist with extensive experience in the NDIS and community space. She is passionate about supporting adults to live more independently, build confidence with daily living skills, and live a meaningful life. Lily endeavours to ensure that her approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centred, with a strong focus on practical outcomes that align with your goals.

Jasmine Reid

Occupational Therapist

Jasmine is passionate about wholistic, client centred, neuro-affirming intervention, and building meaningful connections with clients, their families, and the broader community.  She believes in the importance of early intervention and supporting people to make the most of the life that they live.

Chapter 3: A Day In The Life

We’re not about cookie-cutter therapy. We’re about curiosity, creativity, and connection. We’re about building a workplace where you can grow your skills, shape your caseload, and feel genuinely supported.

Our Clients

  • We work with adolescents and adults who have physical disabilities, cognitive impairments, or mental health conditions, tailoring our support to their unique needs. 

  • Our services are accessible to individuals living within a 20-minute radius of our office or your own residence. 

  • We help you develop specialized skills that align with your goals, supported by continuous professional development opportunities. 

  • You have the opportunity to work within complex disability, with direct mentorship from Kjirsten. 

 

Our Work

No two days are the same, and that’s the beauty of it. On any one day you might be:

  • Cooking with a client in their home 

  • Co-developing a visual schedule with a speechie 

  • Running a commode trial with a supplier 

  • Writing a housing report that helps a client receive the necessary funding to move out of their family home 

  • Leading a training session for support workers on sensory processing and integration 

You’ll have the freedom to shape your schedule, the support to do your best work, and the flexibility to leave early on a Friday if you’ve wrapped things up.

  • Additional 2 paid leave days for CPD

  • Paid parental leave that accrues throughout your employment

 

Fair Pay and Financial Support

We offer a competitive salary plus super that matches the experience you bring, but we also go further to make sure you feel financially supported:​ 

  • A generous CPD budget ($2,000 + 2 days leave, no preconditions)

  • Quarterly bonuses for contributions beyond billables

  • Travel reimbursement

  • Paid subscriptions to OT Australia and professional indemnity insurance

  • Office parking stipend

Our billable targets are realistic, leaving room for learning and life.

Multidisciplinary Partnership  

We partner with Anecdote Clinical Support, who provides speech pathology services. Our separate practices share some clients, resources, and an office space. We regularly collaborate with Anecdote both formally and informally and attend events together, providing a balance of the advantages of a larger team within a small practice setting.
